For Fedora Core 4.0: This guide describes how to install the VIA V-RAID driver. This package also contains the driver, v2.10 which has been built for Fedora Core 4 and supports 5 VIA RAID Controllers: VT6410, VT6420/8237, VT6421, VT8251, VT8237/A/R.

It supports the following RAID types: RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID0 +1, RAID 5 (min. 3 HDDs), SPAN (min. 4 HDDs).

These four chips support RAID Level 0 (Striping), RAID Level 1 (Mirroring), RAID Level 0+1 (Striping/Mirroring) and JBOD (Spanning).
