View Full Version : USB driver and Ethernet driver
A friend reformated her computer and there's a couple of driver's missing. I've tried a few from the download section but nothing works. Can anyone tell me exactly which ones are needed please.

Try here DFI LANParty:The Best OC Platform! Overclock, Motherboard, Intel, AMD (http://www.dfi.com/portal/CM/cmproduct/XX_cmproddetail/XX_WbProdsWindow?action=e&downloadType=biosTab&windowstate=normal&mode=view&downloadFlag=true&itemId=67)

Hit the button to the right of the bios button for drivers on the link I gave you.
Thanks boyblue for the response. I downloaded the files and tried the drivers but the computer is still not recognizing any of them. I'm not familiar with VIA and never had trouble with Intel drivers. Do you suspect the problem could be with the BIOS?
I asked the owner if the PC was ever reformatted before and she said it was done by her local computer shop. They charged her a lot of money and she wasn't going to take it back to them since it was done not long ago and they told her it would cost her the same again. When she gave it to me from what I could see I had to reformat and a repair wouldn't work.
I wish VIA had clearer details, maybe it does but I just don't see it on the web site.

Can you check it is the right motherboard by looking at the MB itself, it should have the make and model written on the side.
Also what problems was it having to start with so needed to formatted? Check all the capacitors as well.
If it is getting into Windows I doubt it is the bios giving you problems.
What error message are you getting when tring to install the drivers?

Just install the LAN driver as once you have it on the internet use Windows update site or doesn't the LAN driver install as well.
Dorry it took so long to get back here, especially since you've been giving the help.
I don't have the computer here to look at the motherboard, from what I remember the error message said something about NIC. No LAN working either.
