VT1708s, any difference on speaker and headphone connector?

Are there any difference using that rear panel 'speaker' connector or by using 'headphone' connector at the motherboard for the front panel?

I ask this cos Im using headphones and my case dont have a front panel. So would there be any benefits on connecting the headphones to that 'headphone' connector instead of the rear panel 'speaker' connector?

Apparently this chipset contais a headphone amplifier so Im thinkin that headphone connector would be different then?
