Default Car PC Questions

I am working on a project that requires an on board computer and am confused about selecting a power supply.

I need to computer to turn on when the vehicle is started. I have been looking at the different dc-dc power supplies and wanted to know if it was possible with the picoPSU style(found here DC-DC ATX PSUs).

I have read that the M1, M2, and M3 can accomplish this but i was hopping to use the cheaper model.

Another question i have is there a case that has enough extra room to fit the motherboard with a compact flash drive attached?

I have been looking at the same PSU's and The one in question wont give you the MB power on/off feature, but it will power your PC, as far as the card reader fitting in a case, it depends on what MB you are trying to use and where you want to mount it
