Lovin it!!

World graphics/detail are the best yet. Character graphics/detail still belongs to Far Cry. Nice game overall and it can scare the hell out of ya.

k...that before was a really quick overview on my part after playing for bout 20 minutes. I've had more time and i'm getting even more impressed with it.

At first you are going to think that the darkness sucks. Using a flashlight full time and trying to balance that with a gun. After about 30 minutes you begin to actually find it helps in getting you into the game. Hard to explain. It does however GREATLY improve gameplay other than just a straight up run and gun.....like the old doom.

Graphics are F'N unreal!! I can't stress enough the level/world detail. It's amazing. Seeing this just makes me wonder what others will do with this freakin game engine.

Something i have not seen anyone really mention is the collusion(sp)...or should i say the lack there of. It's spot on. If it looks like you can get between something.....you can. You can miss with the gun by shooting right under a monsters arm and such. It's very nice. There are many great examples of this in the game. You will realize it once you start playing.

Yes....you will jump some time or another.

Gameplay is GOOD
Graphics are GREAT
The Sound is GREAT - REALLY helps with the atmosphere of the game. Better sounds than FARCRY!

Overall it's a GREAT game just like i rated FarCry.

roger. Doom3 = great.

only one dx9 effect tho: heat shimmer.
I think far cry had more dx9, but still doom looks better even if its largely dx8.1.

Doom is built on the OpenGL API. Not DX.

Well I've been playing this since 1:00 PM ~3 1/2 hours now, and all I have to say is WOW!!!. This game is awesome. There are spots that'll make you jump, and did I mention it looks great...
