new driver question.
I was wondering if the VIA/ATI AGP driver issue had been fixed
with ati video cards from the 9x00 series, and 939 mobos with via
chipsets. i have an A8V and a 9800pro AIW, for the most part i can
play games with the ms driver. but i still run into issues and was
wondering if updating to the newest via drivers would finally fix
it.

new driver question.
I installed these drivers and i don't have image in all my
directx games, opengl doesn't seem affected.

I have an Asus A8V Deluxe motherboard with a Geforce 6800 with
81.95 drivers.

I isolated the problem uninstalling the AGP drivers. without
them I have image again. Weird.

What's the matter with these guys. Don't they even test the
drivers beforce releasing it?

No, because right now i can still play a bit, but when the old
via drivers were installed it worked for a few minutes then
crashed. I would do it now but the only way to remove them is a
reformat.

new driver question.
Ok, I've found this topic too late...I 've installed these new
hyperion drivers and I can't play any game, except doom3 ou quake 4
(opengl games)

I have a 6800gt with the latest forceware drivers (81.95). My
motherboard is an Abit AV8 (socket 939) with an AMD 3500+.

Do I have to uninstall these hyperion to get everything back to
normal?Or do I have to reformat my system?

I was never able to remove the drivers so i had to reformat. you can try to remove the drivers and if that fails then you have to reformat.

new driver question.
Yeah, that's what I just did

I ran the hyperion installer, selected "uninstall",
checked everything, rebooted, and to my suprise windows didn't
detect anything and didn't advise me to install a driver...lol the
Via uninstaller uninstalls nothing...great.

And of course the games still don't work.

Well...time for me to reformat, thanks a lot VIA ! I'll remember
this.

You don't need to reformat, just uninstall the agp driver and
everything go back to normal. Glad to see I'm not the only one with
that problem. I think this drivers are more suitable to X64

new driver question.
First I selected "uninstall" then I only checked the
agp driver.

Uninstall done, reboot, and the games still don't work

I've launched again the uninstaller, checked everything (ide, via
machine driver etc...), rebooted and it's still the same thing.

Once rebooted, windows doesn't even ask for install a driver nor
detects something new that is not installed on my system...that's
weird and i wonder if this uninstall application works.

Now I think that I have to reformat

I'll do this tomorrow, it's too late now...or someone give us an
explanation or a good technique on how to effectively remove the
via agp driver and install the windows default one.
