Via iHyperion ins. Problem

I have problem to install any Via Hyperion or Via Ide Accelerator . They use same Setup system.
Always got -1612 error after picking items for install.
Old Via 4.42 Works [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

Ok if you don't know can you manualy write me how to update all of those besides agp controler.

First off, DO NOT use the VIA IDE accelerator. It will only cause you problems. Speaking of problems, what if any are you having? And, can you please post what the make and model of your main board is? Chris.

Now i got many problems with curent Config.
1. No overclocked
2. No Overheating
3. Stable PSU
4. Ram is stable/cheked.
........................
1. Problem >
Can't Play some games when i got AGP drivers on comp just Freezes with infinity loop error "WoW"
No mater what driver i use.
So i bypassed it by disabling AGP and use PCI-PCI bridge it resolved Crash problems.
But i can't now Install Viaarena or other Based on new setup items always got same error -1612.

Any ideas how to resolve those problems because i think they are linked.

Man u use a very old package.I have kt333 not kt400 but i use Via Hyperion 5.09A ,it works good for me,this package has included a newer ide driver(better performance) with origins in that ide accelerator(old and unusable),also has the last Agp driver ,a newer one than the one in 4.42 package.U can try 4.51 ,4.55 or 4.56 also(they dont have for ide the updated driver). Instability issues on kt400 are solved with AGP speed set to 4x and fast write turned off.Try also another ATI driver.Unzip one of the packages and update drivers manually or make a clean install for testing.For me Via Hyperion 5.09 is stable and works better than Via 4 in 1 4.43,try it.I use 5.09 downloaded from my vendor MSI ,see if on Soltek website they got it, or just try the one from Via Arena,all packages seem to scale good for all chipsets.Good luck!

Did you read what i wrote ?
I can't install Via Arena -1612 Error.
And to AGP problem AGPx4 Fast writes or any Ati drivers don't resolve this.

Have u tried updating using .inf files or just the installer?
On a clean windows install is the same?
Did u tried the package from the vendors website?
The Package u have(4.42) is from the mobo manufacturer or is from Via Arena?
Infinite loop should be solved with Write Combining option turned OFF under trouble shooting category in display proprieties.Try a video bios update on your risk maybe solves the conflict.

Reinstall didn't work [ Not fresh]
And i don't want format/fresh ins.

Still geting error 1612 any body know it is linked to what ?
Or How to manualy udpate . Via Drivers .

After 6 weeks,i already forgot the topic.LOL
And after 6 weeks we are in the placewe started from.
The clean install is your solution.

Sounds like you are having the same problem I am. See if you can uninstall the drivers. My guess is that you can't which means you may have a corrupt registry like I do. The new install is probably best.
