VFX222

The VIA vt6307 chip drivers are built into Windows operating system so there is no seperate driver download from VIA, I would update to SP3 and can you tell us what problem you are having with 1394 Host controller.

Information about Windows XP Service Pack 3 link to XP SP3

Driver Genius isn't too smart is it. Do a System Restore to a date before you ran that stupid program. Chris.

VFX, you can do a Repair of XP:

Boot up the PC with the XP CD in the CD drive, with that drive set as First Boot Device

Let XP start to install. Dont' worry, it won't mess up the XP that is there already.

When the Installer sees XP is already installed, it will stop and ask what you want to do? Tell it to "Repair an existing installation of Windows"

Once it's done, take the CD out, reset the first boot device to the hard drive and all should be good again. Chris.
