Default Drivers for PCI soundcard, VT1723 or VT1720/4 not available on this website

I have a PCI soundcard. The chip has this printed on it:

"VIA ICEnsemble Tremor VT1723-0727CD"

When I run PC Wizard it tells me the card is:

"Device Audio : VT1720/4 Envy24PT PCI Multi-Channel Audio Controller"

However, going to Via's driver search page does not list anything like this. They have VT1708 and VT1702 and VT16xx and VT8xxx, but none of these work.

Which driver should I be using? I'm running Vista 64. The card works perfectly in Linux so there's nothing wrong with the card itself.

I tried to install the Envy24 PT drivers, the V540f. When doing so, it tells me:

"SETUP LOG: DATE 2-24-2010 TIME 12:43:03
Installed components :
None

Fail to Installed components :
Envy Family Audio Device Driver V5.40f :0xffffffff"

Does anyone know why the 540f drivers do not recognize my card? Is there anything I can look for?

How did you go about installing the drivers

Did you remove the old driver?
Did you have problems before installing the V5.40f?
Have you got onboard sound and is it disabled?
