| Four Mobile Processors Compared I got an email from Arthur or Tralalak from Bratislava, Slovak republik (Slovakia) who runs ExtraHarware.cz. He wrote to tell me about a pretty impressive review that compares four mobile processors.
"Applying VIA Nano L2200 1.6GHz to standard Mini-ITX mainboard VIA VB8001-16 measuring 17 x 17 cm using concept of NordBridge + SouthBridge (VIA CN896 + VT8237S) with PCIe x 16 with the possibility for great power saving and grahhics benefits regarding S3 Graphics, Nvidia, ATI (AMD), and Matrox graphics card. To compare performance I tested the classic low voltage dekstop processor VIA Nano L2200 1.6GHz against the 4 mobile processors in 2 notebooks and 2 ultramobile mininotebooks.
Today we will be benchmarking four x86 mobile processors (Intel Atom N270, Intel Celeron M 420, AMD Sempron 3200+, VIA C7-M ULV)". - Extrahardware, March 26, 2009. "Who has the best performance? Well, we don’t know yet, but by the end of this we will have an informative answer to that. In fact, VIA Nano doubles the performance of C7, adds 64-bit instructions yet consumes less power." More.
